AWARDS
* Performers will receive an award pin for each dance entered.
*Entries must compete prior to their awards ceremony to be eligible for High Score Awards.
*High Score Awards will be given in each Competition Level and age division for Best Dancer, Best Actor, Best Vocalist, Best Dance Duet/Trio, Best Vocal Duet Trio, Best Acting Duet Trio, Best Dance Group (small and large) , Best Musical Theater (live vocal) group, and Best Production.
*Top 3, Top 5 and Top 10 will be awarded based on number of entries per age, size and division.
*Solo Standout Awards– Given at the discretion of the judges to soloist in a variety of categories; choreography, technique, etc.
*The Gregory Hines Award, The Fosse Award, and The Baryshnikov Award – Awarded to the highest scoring tap, jazz and ballet routine in each performance level.
The Triple Threat award - goes to the soloist with the highest combined scored for their acting, vocal, and dance solos in the 12 and under and 13 and up age divisions. Must enter all 3 categories to be eligible.
*Ultimate Awards – Best Choreography, Best Technique, Most Entertaining and Crowd Pleaser will be awarded to both 12 and under and 13 and up. These awards are solely at the judges discretion.
*Special Awards – Given at each awards ceremony at the discretion of the judges and competition directors.
Top Studio - The studio with the highest scoring group dances (we take your top 12 GROUP scores and average them) wins The PAA TOP STUDIO award and a check for $500!!
*Photogenic Award– Teachers should submit a 5×7 or 8×10 color or black and white photo with name, age, and studio name on the back. The photogenic award will be given during the last group awards ceremony of the event. Photos should be submitted by a teacher at the merchandise table and will be returned in the packet picked up by the Studio Director at the end of the competition.
